What is a Hydrafacial™?
Hydrafacial™ is a facial spa treatment using a patented device to deliver exfoliation, cleansing, extractions, and hydration to the face. This system uses a vortex swirling action to deliver hydration and remove dead skin, dirt, debris, and impurities while cleaning and soothing your skin. (Plus, you can physically see all the icky impurities we pull from your skin after - so cool and satisfying!)
What is included in my Hydrafacial™ experience at EA?
At EA our clinical aestheticians offer three Hydrafacial™ options that can be customized to your exact needs!
Hydrafacial™ Express (45 minutes), $199+ tax - Includes a cleanse, light peel, extractions, a hydrating antioxidant, followed by a ZO® Daily Power Defense and SPF application picked to match your unique skin needs. The treatment itself is approximately 30 minutes.
Hydrafacial™ Deluxe (1 hour), $275+ tax - Includes a cleanse, light peel, extractions, one customized booster, LED light therapy, a hydrating antioxidant, followed by a ZO® Daily Power Defense and SPF application picked to match your unique skin needs. The treatment itself is approximately 45 minutes.
Hydrafacial™ Platinum (1.5 hours), $325+ tax - Includes 15 minutes of lymphatic drainage, a cleanse, light peel, extractions, one customized booster, LED light therapy, a hydrating antioxidant, followed by a ZO® Daily Power Defense and SPF application picked to match your unique skin needs. The treatment itself is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Hydrojelly Mask Add-On (15 minutes) - $25+ tax - With any Hydrafacial™ treatment, add on a customizable Hydrojelly mask to elevate your relaxing spa experience!

When can I start to see optimal results with Hydrafacial™?
Hydrafacial™ takes around one hour to complete depending on the type of service you choose, and the effects are visible for about one week after! You will immediately see results after your first session, but more than one session may be beneficial depending on your skin goals and what you want out of the treatment. For long-term skin health, we recommend including treatment as part of your monthly skincare routine. To reduce the effects of aging from the skin, Hydrafacial™ can be combined with other clinical treatments customized especially for you and your skin's needs. Who is the best candidate for a Hydrafacial™?
Anyone can be a good candidate for a Hydrafacial™! It can be used to treat clients with any skin tone or type, and it can be performed even if your skin is very sensitive and dry. You can also use this treatment if you are experiencing acne or a wide variety of other skin issues as the treatments are tailored to you and your individual needs in each and every facial!
Who is not a candidate for Hydrafacial™?
Anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding is advised not to have a Hydrafacial™ done. Anyone who is allergic to shellfish and/or aspirin is also advised not to have a Hydrafacial™ done. However, we can always perform a patch test on the day of your treatment if these allergies are a concern to you.
What is the difference between a Sephora Hydrafacial™ vs an External Affairs Hydrafacial™?
At Sephora, you don’t have the luxury of privacy, relaxation, or that extra-pampered feeling you get at External Affairs Medical Spa! Every client of ours can enjoy refreshments upon arrival, a cozy and private space for their treatment, and a customizable jelly mask add-on with their Hydrafacial™ treatments. Ours is designed to be a relaxing and indulgent spa experience, whereas Sephora offers more of a quick stop-and-shop experience that may not be for everyone. You deserve to be treated like royalty, and that’s a promise we always deliver on when you choose EA for any service!
What can I expect during my Hydrafacial™ treatment?
Before your Hydrafacial™ begins, your technician will cleanse the skin to ensure that there is no makeup, dirt, or moisturizer left on your face. During the first part of your Hydrafacial™ treatment, your skin will be cleansed and prepared for the remaining part of the procedure, which involves exfoliation to remove dead skin cells and other impurities. Afterward, a fruit acid peel, tailored to your individual needs will be applied and then gently removed. This peel can help minimize the appearance of fine lines, large pores, and even skin tone! Next comes the extraction stage, which is a great part of the procedure for clients who might have small breakouts, bumps, or congestion lurking under the skin. (We all know we find this part very satisfying!) Vacuum technology is gently used to extract these impurities without leaving behind irritation or scars. Lastly, a nutritive serum will be applied to the skin’s surface to help protect and hydrate the new skin that has been revealed from your Hydrafacial™ treatment. The entire process can take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour, making it a great lunchtime treatment for busy individuals. Additionally, your Hydrafacial™ treatments can be combined with other popular treatments, including Botox, fillers, and other clinical skin regimens! With any Hydrafacial™ treatment, add on a customizable jelly mask to elevate your relaxing spa experience and take away the stress of your day!
