What is CoolSculpting® and what can it do for you?

November 8, 2022

Do you have a love-hate relationship with the gym and exercise? Well, you’re not alone in this feeling!

When you’re on a journey to feel great and live a healthier lifestyle, enjoying different forms of exercise and wellness activities is a big part of that. While we can do various amounts of physical activity to transform our health and feel more confident in our skin, targeted fat loss in unique spots can’t be achieved with just exercise. If you’ve been going to the gym in hopes to see results in specific areas like the flanks or under the chin, but haven’t quite yet, we understand how discouraging it can feel. But before you completely give up on your health goals, let us introduce you to a one-of-a-kind body sculpting device known as CoolSculpting®

At EA, we love incorporating CoolSculpting® treatments as a part of your exciting plans to achieve a healthier lifestyle and to help you feel more confident. The best part? CoolSculpting® does all the work, so you don’t have to!

What is CoolSculpting®?

If you have never heard of CoolSculpting®, you’ve come to the right place! CoolSculpting® uses the power of targeted fat-freezing to debulk unique areas, and this process is called Cryolipolysis. During this process, fat cells in the affected area are targeted with extreme cold to cause apoptosis. This is where the cells are injured beyond repair, so they gradually die off. During your CoolSculpting® journey, your body works to process and eliminate these cells through normal metabolization and elimination to achieve your targeted stubborn fat loss!

What areas can be treated with CoolSculpting®?

There are a number of areas that can be treated with CoolSculpting® to help target stubborn pockets of fat. Common areas are places like the abdomen, the arms, and the inner and outer thighs. Additional areas that are considered to be more unique are the banana roll (the area just under the buttock), the bra fat area, the flanks (back rolls), and the area under the chin. So when it comes to creating your custom CoolSculpting® treatment plan with our advanced technicians, you have a ton of exciting options to discuss!

One thing that is so important to remember is that CoolSculpting® is not a one-size-fits-all type of treatment, and should always require a consultation first. This is because every person looking to transform a stubborn pocket of fat needs to be mapped out. The mapping process involves using various templates to determine which applicator size, and how many applicators, are required to achieve your best results! We all have uniquely shaped bodies and different transformation goals. Making sure you are properly treating your area of concern takes a lot of skill on the part of the technician - and this is something we do not take lightly at EA! Our highly-trained experts want to ensure that no pockets of unwanted stubborn fat are left behind, so they are very thorough during the consultation and mapping process. This time is taken to ensure that you get your absolute best results, no matter what area you decide to treat!

Do CoolSculpting® results last?

In short, yes! There’s often a misconception that having more body fat also means having more fat cells. However, due to the fact that your body has as many fat cells at adolescence as it will in your entire lifetime, any of the cells that are targeted during the CoolSculpting® process are unable to re-grow back!

It is important to know that CoolSculpting® does not eliminate all of the body’s fat cells. The cells that do remain are still able to expand and contract with weight gain or weight loss. Of course, the best way to maintain your CoolSculpting® results is by managing consistent healthy lifestyle choices. A complimentary consultation with our advanced technicians is a great place to learn more about the CoolSculpting® process and how you can achieve your best results!

Can I get the same results at the gym?

It’s true that we can’t out-exercise a bad diet, but we also can’t out-exercise genetically or hormonally-packed pockets of unwanted fat. Even at our peak with consistent exercise and a healthy diet, we can still see areas of unwanted bulk. Exercise is a fantastic way to build our muscles, strengthen our hearts, and improve our lung capacity, but it can’t spot-treat subcutaneous fat. The reality is that no amount of target exercises is going to reduce fat in areas like under the chin!

This is where a CoolSculpting® treatment plan becomes the key to reaching your exciting transformation goals. This treatment is the perfect way to sculpt pockets of diet and exercise-resistant fat, helping to achieve a physique that you’ll feel more confident in!

What’s the first step to seeing if CoolSculpting® is right for me?

Of course, the sooner you decided to start your CoolSculpting® journey, the sooner you will see your best results! While it is incredibly exciting to think about your appointment day and getting it all scheduled, our first goal is to get to know your unique needs.

To ensure you get the best possible treatment experience with our advanced technicians, we like to set up a complimentary consultation first. In-person complimentary consultations are our non-negotiables - we love them for so many reasons! During this time, you’ll get to chat one-on-one about all your CoolSculpting® questions, get an exact idea of your treatment price, and ensure that your stubborn areas are thoroughly mapped out before reserving a CoolSculpting® treatment day at EA.
