Permanent Make-Up – Q & A
Q) IS THE PROCESS SAFE?
A) Absolutely! Our facility is a medical spa, staffed with physicians and nurses. The client’s safety is our highest concern. All equipment is disposed of after each procedure. A patch allergy test is performed prior to the process to ensure the client’s safety.
Q)DO I HAVE A CHOICE OF COLOR PLACEMENT OF PIGMENTS?
A) Yes….. You will be involved in all placement of colour.
Your input is necessary to achieve the results you will be satisfied with.
Q) DOES IT HURT?
A) There is very little discomfort in most permanent cosmetic procedures. Many people describe the sensation to be much less than they expected. A topical anesthetic will be applied.
Q) HOW WILL THE APPEARANCE LOOK OVER TIME?
A) The colour will soften over the years. The natural fading is a direct result of UV exposure. Un-protected sun tanning or use of indoor tanning beds can accelerate the fading process. Permanent make-up that is well protected from the sun can last a lifetime.
Q) HOW MUCH DOES IT COST ?
A) Each procedure is as individual as the person. All processes include a consultation, patch allergy test and two application appointments. Lip procedures require more than two visits to slowly build up a soft wash of colour.
Q) HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
A) Each procedure takes approximately between 1 to 3 hours to complete.
Q) CAN I WEAR ADDITIONAL MAKE-UP OVER MY PERMANENT MAKE-UP?
A) Yes. Micro-pigmentation applications provide a subtle look for natural feature enhancement. You may choose to apply more make-up for more glamorous appearance.
Q) CAN YOU CORRECT PERMANENT MAKE-UP AFTER IT HAS BEEN APPLIED?
A) Yes. External Affairs can remove or correct any micro-pigment make-up problem non-surgically. Our make-up artists will give you the naturally beautiful look you want. No compromises. No excuses. We are known as western Canada’s leader in permanent make-up.
