What is the Vampire Facial®?

The Vampire Facial is the art of combining the micro needling treatment with Platelet Rich Plasma therapy.  The Micro needling procedure is done with a derma pen that is used to create tiny micro injuries into the skin that enhances collagen production and improves overall skin tone and texture. The patients own PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is used as an added boost to the treatment for optimal results.

Why Choose the Vampire Facial®?

The Vampire Facial® is a great choice for anyone who is looking to reduce the appearance of scarring and/or sunspots, smooth out any fine lines and wrinkles and improve overall look, colour, and texture of the skin. Whereas, for skin laxity, the Vampire Facelift® is best.

The Process

First a topical anesthetic is applied, then a small amount of blood is drawn from the patient and processed through a centrifuge that spins it. This process isolates the plasma from the red blood cells- this plasma is rich in growth factors. The PRP serum is then applied to the skin with a dropper, and worked into skin using the the micro needling pen. We want to really penetrate those growth factors deep into the dermis. Once the growth factors penetrate the epidermis, they call to the site stem cells; which, create new more youthful cells.

The Results
Vampire Facial Healing

Because a topical anesthetic is applied, the patient should experience little to no pain. There are minor risks involved with micro needling such as infection, irritation, sunlight sensitivity, swelling and bruising. But overall the procedure, if done properly, is safe. The  channels that are made into the skin are micro, so the downtime for this procedure is minimal. Results may vary, but a series of 1-3 treatments is typically recommended.
