What To Expect on Your First Visit
If you are new to fillers, you can expect to visit our team for three appointments: an EA Beauty Consultation, a Patient Assessment, and the fun part - the injections!

Every filler journey begins first with an EA Beauty Consultation! Whether enjoyed at our Edmonton, St. Albert or Kelowna clinic, this is a complimentary appointment with an injector where you can ask the questions you may have, discuss your beauty goals, and come up with a plan as unique as you are!

Since client safety is our top priority, those who wish to proceed with their first filler appointment must first complete a Patient Assessment. This is a quick and easy over-the-phone or in-person appointment with a medical professional. We'll take 5-10 minutes to go through your medical history (like allergies, for example!) and make sure you’re a good candidate for injections. Only required to be completed once every year, this ensures that you are safe to enjoy any of our injectable services!

Now for the fun part - the injections! During your treatment, you can expect a thorough clean of the treatment area, a couple of quick pokes, and a great chat with your nurse. The injections are virtually painless, some describe it as only a little pinch! Rest assured though if you are concerned about pain, we have many devices to help with pain management - simply ask your injector!

Using only premium products, our transformations are typically achieved with hyaluronic acid-based fillers. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found within the human body. It is essential for our skin's ability to retain moisture for a plump, hydrated complexion. When used in fillers, it temporarily reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while simultaneously adding volume.
Other, more semi-permanent fillers we offer, include Sculptra®, and Radiesse®.

No, filler is not a one size fits all! In our toolkit, our injection team has a wide array of different products to choose from. Different areas require different product, so product choice is important! That’s why our team goes through rigorous and continuous education - to ensure they choose the best product for your unique needs.

On average, dermal fillers last 6 to 18+ months. There are many factors that influence the lifespan of your filler including metabolism, genetics, and the area treated. Areas that are used often, such as your lips (talking, chewing, and kissing), will wear down quicker.

Yes, any of our hyaluronic acid-based fillers can be dissolved! If for any reason you wish to remove filler, we can absolutely do so with a solution called “hyaluronidase”. Injected into the desired area, this solution breaks down the filler, allowing your body to pass it.

The risks that occur with filler are minor. You may see bruising around the injection site, swelling, redness, and the area can be tender to touch. For best results, it is important to follow any aftercare instructions provided to you by your injector. A rare issue is an occlusion of the vein.
