Permanent Makeup

Wake up looking on point!

Applying and perfecting makeup to your brows and lids day in and day out is a time-consuming, stressful, and costly routine that can also be inconsistent. Drawing in your brows alone can take forever and finding the right products can be a pain, never mind worrying about whether your eyebrows are still on after a hot day or an intense workout. Permanent makeup allows you to wake up looking refreshed and “put-together” with zero effort. Save valuable time every morning with subtle, natural-looking makeup that won’t smudge!

Permanent makeup is the implantation of colour pigments into the skin to create a natural, cosmetic look. Using Canadian-made pigments designed for permanent facial makeup applications, our line of colour pigments (not ink!) are expertly mixed to match your skin tone and brow color.

Get natural looking brows and eyeliner.

At External Affairs, we specialize in eyebrows and eyeliner, and our permanent makeup is intended to give you a natural, not a dramatic look. For eyebrows, we use a rotary pen device that rotates a disposable cartridge of four or five needles in a row. Deposited into the skin’s dermis at about the depth of a dime, the pigment is deposited into live tissue and is considered semi-permanent.

Why choose us?

External Affairs has a long legacy of permanent makeup excellence. Our artists have been featured on the Emmy Award winning show “Taking it Off,” as well as the CBC National News and other local TV News shows, radio talk shows, and news articles.

All our technicians have external certification and undergo a one-year, in-house apprenticeship. In our Edmonton, St. Albert and Kelowna locations, our technicians are taught PHI standards. PHI standards are the natural measurements of your face; instead of creating a trendy look, our permanent makeup artists will create the brows or eyeliner best suited for your face!

I can’t say enough about Tara’s brow work at External Affairs. The initial application and every touch-up is perfect. She is officially my eyebrow manager!
