Radiesse®
Instant results with lasting benefits!
Radiesse® is a specialty filler that provides immediate volume, stimulates collagen production, and refines facial contour. In other words, it can be used to soften areas or add sharpness as desired! Areas that can be transformed include:
- Cheeks
- Smile lines
- Marionette lines
- Pre-jowl folds
- Corners of the mouth
- Chin wrinkles
- Neck
- Decolleté
- Hands
Smooth Wrinkles and Folds
When we age, our skin doesn’t just wrinkle, it also loses its fullness. Gravity and repetitive movements (like smiles and frowns) create well-worn grooves into our skin and cause sagging, thinness, and hollowness. But that smooth skin isn’t out of reach – Radiesse® can lift, plump, and revitalize your face and your hands. Benefits of Radiesse® include:
- Non-surgical, minimally invasive procedure
- Quick treatment with no downtime
- Immediate results that last 12- 18 months
- Continues to stimulate collagen production over time
- Reduces fine lines, folds, and wrinkles
- Increases fullness
What to Expect on Your Visit
After a consultation to determine your desired results, your Radiesse® appointment will take about 30 minutes. Causing only mild discomfort, treatment begins with a topical numbing cream or we may add lidocaine to the inject. When you’re ready, we will precisely inject Radiesse® into your face or hands according to the volume and shape that we’ve discussed.
You’ll see results immediately although you’ll experience minor swelling for up to 48 hours after treatment. Effects are natural and subtle rather than drastic but if you’d like a more significant change, we can work toward it!
Radiesse® FAQs
-
Radiesse® is available at our Edmonton and St. Albert locations!
-
Unlike traditional hyaluronic acid fillers, Radiesse® is the first and only CaHA (calcium hydroxylapatite) injectable that provides both immediate, natural-looking results and long-term improvement - a year or more in many patients!
-
Like other soft tissue fillers, Radiesse® can be used in most areas where other fillers are used. Where Radiesse® truly shines is in enhancing cheeks and contouring jawlines - perfect for that snatched look!
Not to be overlooked though, is Radiesse®’s ability to address marionette lines, nasolabial folds, neck lines, decolleté creases, and volume loss on the back of the hands. Especially since it continues to stimulate collagen production over time!
-
The benefits of Radiesse® can be seen both immediately and over time. Upon injection, the Radiesse® CaHA gel matrix provides an immediate improvement, creating a “scaffold” that lifts up tissue.
Over time, as this matrix integrates with the body, a firm network of collagen fibres forms. This means it smoothes lines and promotes renewed skin structure for a year or more!
-
The procedure is minimally invasive and causes minor discomfort. A topical numbing cream is used before treatment or lidocaine is added to the injectable to numb any discomfort.
-
Typically, side effects include minor swelling, redness, itching, and/or tenderness that lasts less than seven days. There is no downtime to this procedure and you can continue your day as normal. With injectables, there is a risk of infection and potentially an unintentional injection into a blood vessel (though the chances are rare).
-
At External Affairs, our results are focused on maintaining your unique proportions and balance. Not only will Radiesse® provide immediate results that compliment your face, but your results will also continue to improve due to collagen stimulation!
-
With its unique CaHA compound, the natural-looking results last a year or more in many patients!
-
