Frequently Asked Questions
Still not sure? Read our FAQ’s below.
Is Photofacial treatment safe?
Photofacials are one of the safest light-based treatments available, with little or no pain. The light pulses feel similar to a light "snap" from a rubber band and there have been few reported long-term side effects. Any post-treatment side effects dissipate within a few hours to a week and include redness, minor swelling or inflammation.
How do I prepare for the treatment?
It is best to stay out of direct sunlight and refrain from using tanning beds and any medications that make you more sensitive to light. During your initial consultation a clinical aesthetician will advise you on how to best prepare for the procedure.
When will I see results?
Results can be seen from a few hours to a day post-treatment. Improvements will be noticeable more and more, but your experience may differ depending on your skin type and the condition(s) you are treating.
How many treatments will I need?
Generally 3-5 sessions are required and it depends on the severity of your problem area and its location. One of our clinical aestheticians will be able to assess the number of treatments required to achieve your desired results.
