HA Filler Before and After

*Model pictured received a total of 5 syringes of HA filler; all syringes were split between the temples, cheeks, under eyes, jawline, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, chin, and lips. Results pictured show immediately before the treatment and then immediately after the filler was injected. Please note results will vary per person based on treatment needs and what is discussed with your injector during your consultation.*

Myth #1: HA filler is unsafe/toxic.

FACT: Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a natural substance present in our bodies, gradually depleting with age, leading to sagging skin and facial fat loss. By utilizing HA fillers, we're essentially replenishing what the body naturally loses over time. This process involves injecting HA to restore volume, assisting in the rejuvenation of a more youthful and vibrant appearance.

Myth #2: HA fillers are permanent!

HA filler is a temporary solution, gradually absorbed by the body over time. The duration of its effects, lasting between 6 months to 2 years, depends on the specific filler type and injection site. External Affairs also offers hyaluronidase, a product that facilitates the safe dissolution of filler if adjustments are ever desired!

Myth #3: Filler looks fake!

The impact of filler largely depends on the skill of the injector, and an untrained hand can lead to an overdone appearance. That's why entrusting the procedure to licensed professionals is crucial. At EA, our team of experts prioritizes the enhancement of your unique features with a commitment to achieving a natural-looking result. No exaggerated or unnatural outcomes—just skilled hands dedicated to your personalized aesthetic journey.

HA Filler Before and After

*Model pictured received a total of 3 syringes of HA filler; 1 syringe in the lips and 1 syringe per each side of the cheeks. Results pictured show immediately before the treatment and then immediately after the filler was injected. Please note results will vary per person based on treatment needs and what is discussed with your injector during your consultation.*

Myth #4: Getting filler is painful.

Filler injections involve tiny needles, resulting in minimal discomfort. At External Affairs, we enhance your comfort with numbing cream during the procedure. Our HA filler, containing lidocaine, further minimizes any sensation during injection. If you have concerns about pain, simply discuss them with your injector—alternative pain relief options are available to ensure your experience is as comfortable as possible.

Myth #5: One syringe is too much!

The perception of filler quantity can be misleading. The amount required varies based on the injection area and individual needs. For instance, the impact of one syringe in the lips differs from its effect in the cheeks. To put it in perspective, it takes ten syringes to fill a McDonald's ketchup packet!

Myth #6: “I’ll look like a different person.”

Filler is a tool to accentuate your natural beauty and boost confidence. At EA, our injectors craft personalized treatment plans, aiming for a refreshed, youthful, and harmonious aesthetic. Your unique beauty goals are important, and we invite you to explore them further in a consultation. Let's collaborate to enhance your natural allure and achieve the look you desire.

Myth #7: HA filler is the same as Botox®!

Although filler and Botox® are both injectable treatments, they're different substances and do different things. Botox® + Dysport® (known as neuromodulators) reduce lines/wrinkles by relaxing muscles in the areas being injected, and cannot be seen. Whereas filler is used to plump and add volume to areas like lips, cheeks, chin, under-eyes, jawlines, and temples.
